Confidence is vital as it will determine your success. When you consistently take action and change your strategy, you will get massive results and achieve your goals. However, if you lack the confidence to take action, nothing will happen. Here are the 5 reasons why people lack of confidence in themselves.

Society
Our society or our environmental conditions decide human beings to do what most people do and to accept what is being offered. This has stopped most people from pursuing their dreams.
Parents
Parents' responsibility is to teach their children and to guide them to who they are meant to be. Most of the times, parents take away the child individuality and inadvertently instilling limiting beliefs to the child. Often the children are conformed to the view of what their parents think is correct and limited their credibility.
School
Teachers have a huge influence over children and teenagers. They are powerful authority figures and peer pressure is extremely high. Because of that, most children and teenagers are afraid to do anything for fear of being make fun of by their peers. Unfortunately, school has also divided children and teenagers into different learning tracks. They are intelligent and understand the labels that go with different learning tracks. They integrate these into their identities and those who are labeled "slow" integrate this as a limiting belief that I am a slow learner. These beliefs have shaped their reality and their whole way of being.
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity can lead to shyness. People become afraid of doing anything for fear of offending someone or being rejected. It is important to have confidence to do what it takes to achieve your goal and steps out of your comfort zone.
Fear
Children are true dreamers. They are natural full of confident and ready to explore the world around them. They have not been trained to see their own limitations the way adults have. They will look straight into your eyes and say they want to be a superstar. In fact, what children fear are the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Apart from these, all other fears are learned throughout their lives.
A research was conducted to find out adults' greatest fear and find out that the fear of public speaking was rated higher than the fear of death. This shows that it is a direct result of learning to fear something that does not need to be feared. Acronym F.E.A.R stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. When adults realize that public speaking is not a life or death event but a simple process, ultimately the false evidence will disappear and so does the fear. Without the fear, adults become more confident in themselves. I hope you have found these 5 reasons why people lack of confidence useful. Sometimes as an adult, you can learn from the children and adopt the childlike attitude for going after your dreams.
