Medication Process Of Hemoglobin Disorder

Shobnom is my beloved wife. I called her Dew Drop of Jupiter. Recently she has been identified as a patient of beta thalassemia trait. This disease is known as a mild form of hemoglobin disorder. One of her chromosomes affected for this. Her doctor (Prof. ABM Yunus) advised her to have RCC infusion of a single unit per day for three consecutive days. We have started her treatment from 5th of this month. The whole process is really cumbersome. It starts at first with identifying a probable blood donor. The second step is cross matching the blood between donor and receiver. After having a positive result from the blood cross matching report the donor takes physical and mental preparation to donate the blood. Doctor collects donor's blood inside a 450 ml blood bag. Meanwhile the receiver takes preparation as well for blood infusion. After having the proper setup, the blood introduced into receiver's vein. It depends upon time (that how long it will take) to complete the process. Receiver's overall body condition plays a vital role to complete the process early.

At the first day it took four precious hours to infuse the blood but gave us a surprise at the second day. The duration becomes double in the second day and agonies for the receiver. Not only that but also her body temperature gets high during this time. Now we are on the stage to begin the last one to complete the medication of beta thellassemia trait. This teaches me a lot of things from the very beginning. Patience is one of the things among them. A lot of patience is required for everyone who involves in this process. Now I'm waiting for a perfect ending. And I'm also looking forward to achieve the goal as a result of this medication.
